Jon has had a lifelong passion for photography and art. His formal training was had at Brooks Institute of Photography where he studied portraiture. After graduating from Brooks he started Jon Ball Photography in Boise Idaho. Jon Ball Photography of Boise grew to be the most prestigious portrait studio in Idaho.
Jon sold Jon Ball Photography Idaho to move to Southern California to own and operate Charis Portraiture. The economic "crash" of 2008 forced Jon to close the doors of Charis Portraiture and open under his own name in San Clemente California.
Jon desires his clientele to feel the power of the artistry found in his portraits. He feels that the art that he produces lifts people above their normal associations with life to a higher place. How it works:
- Jon requires a conversation on the phone to discuss the people in the portrait, the clothing, your desires for your portrait and scheduling.
- A sitting fee is required to book your sitting $150.
- The portrait sitting typically takes between 30 and 45 minutes.
- Next, the decision makers will meet with Jon in the studio a week following the sitting to select the portraits.
- During this appointment you will order your portraits. Be sure to know the measurements and locations you wish to hang your portraits.
- 8 to 10 weeks after your order is placed you will meet with Jon to review the enhancements that have taken place on your portraits. Your portraits will be almost finished at that time.
- Following that appointment completion of the portraits takes 2 weeks.
A deposit of half of your order is required to initiate your order. The balance is due when Jon meets with you to finalize the enhancements. Framing is not included but Jon will help in the selection of the right frame to compliment your portrait. Jon is usually booked 2 to 3 weeks in advance. Please call soon to avoid dissapointment.
